Chinese President Xi Jinping and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed the Fifa World Cup during their talks on December 9, 2022.    The leaders met on the sidelines of the first of two Arab summits in Riyadh during Xi’s 3-day trip to Saudi Arabia, a tour aimed at strengthening China’s ties with Gulf Arab nations.
