Cheong-San was enthralled and eager to help his mother. Thankfully, Dae-Su reacts swiftly and hits her in the head with a pipe. Despite losing control, Cheong-San forbids the other students from assaulting his afflicted mother. It is completely thoughtless and nearly derails the entire strategy. Fortunately, despite Cheong-San shouting "Mom" back at her, the kids manage to yank him away. The zombies follow Cheong-San and the others and start pursuing them, dispelling the myth that the thunder would dull their senses. Joon-yeong and the others follow in close pursuit as the group flees.

Na-Yeon is sacrificed to the zombies by Ji-Min, but fortunately Ha-Ri is there with her group, and they manage to prevent the girl from suffering a sad end. It also enables Cheong-San to see his sister again.
