A middle-aged mum who dresses like she’s in her 20s and works out every day says there shouldn’t be a “dress code” for women - at any age. Ting Ma, 52, loves to don baggy tops, jeans and trainers and says she wants to change the perception that women have to dress a particular way when they reach a certain age. The mum-of-two keeps fit by working out every day, but also admits she’s a ‘foodie’ and has a massive sweet tooth. Ting, who lives with her husband, 58, loves embracing her newfound self-confidence and wants to inspire others to do the same. The part-time realtor and influencer, who splits her time between Chicago and San Diego, US, said: “The older I get the more I love wearing baggy tops, sneakers and jeans. “It’s all about chic, elegance and being comfortable. “Women should be able to wear what they want at any age and rock a crop top or mini skirt if they want to. “Wear what makes you happy. It took me 48 years to stop caring what people thought. “Now I embrace myself. The best accessory is a girl's confidence.” Ting admits she disliked herself for years and was always trying to please people until she hit her late 40s. But then she says she "just stopped caring and really embraced myself”. Ting added: “Now I hardly wear make-up and embrace my greys, but I like exercising. I’m working on my core and my abs so if I’m not running, I’ll do some core training. “People say I look like a man, but I just laugh about it.” Ting was diagnosed with arthritis in her right knee two years ago but is now back to running four miles every other day. She said: “I had good genes until I was 45, but now what I eat goes straight to my belly. But I’m a big foodie and love carbs. “I have a coffee, almond croissant and fruit every day for breakfast. "I share my workout videos with my followers, and it has inspired so many women around my age to go back to exercise. "I don't want women to feel pressured but inspired to get off the couch and start working out." Ting says her husband plays a big part in keeping her positive. She said: “He reminds me to be positive. "Now when I have a hot flush, I remind myself that I can’t change it so, rather than complaining, I’ll do something to improve it or I’ll make fun of the situation. “Self-love is so important. There shouldn’t be a dress code for women at any age. It’s our body so I’m taking charge.”
