Director JP Dutta, who has made superhit films like Loc Kargil and Border, wanted to make Siddharth Malhotra's blockbuster film Sher Shah in the year 2008 under the name of Tiger Hills. For which JP Dutta had also casted Sunil Shetty, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Khanna and Arbaaz Khan in the lead cast. But due to budget issue, that film could not be made at that time. After which the same project was made by director Vishnuvardhan in 2021, in which Siddharth Malhotra was casted as Sher Shah.
