Shershaah is all set to release on August 12. The trailer launch of the film was held recently where the lead cast, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, talked about their roles. Sidharth, who plays the role of Captain Vikram Batra, said, "Kargil was an apt place to shoot the film so the audience could connect to it. Full respect to all the forces who fought with their lives for us." Kiara, who plays the role of Vikram Batra's fiance, Dimple, said, "I met Dimple and it was so beautiful to hear her story from her firsthand. I could feel the pride and nostalgia in her eyes while she was talking about Captain Vikram." The director of the film, Vishnu Vardhan, was also present.
