Credit Suisse’s ($CS@Switzerland) credit rating was downgraded on Tuesday to BBB-, one level above junk. The move could hinder deposit-gathering and business with counterparties. Stock prices and prices on bonds for the Switzerland-based investment bank fell in October when social media commentators predicted that it was in trouble. Last week, Credit Suisse said it will raise around $4 billion in fresh capital and sell a key unit to help pay for an overhaul.
