The Good Rats — The Good Rats 1969 (USA, Garage/Psychedelic Rock)

The debut album from a Long Island City band formed in 1965. "Good Rats" are considered one of the first performers of "garage rock", although some experts tend to consider this group as the pioneers of art rock, using hard elements in their style. After the release of their debut album, Good Rats performed in New York clubs, scattering rubber bats during concerts - it is believed that the musicians chose a modified logo of the company involved in the manufacture of such dummies ("Gooden Rats") as the name. The public ignored the record, and in August 1972 the group broke up - Mickey Marchello found a job at a gas station, his brother Peppi worked as a waiter, drove a truck, and at one time even collected and sorted garbage.
