Nowadays people have more choices than they had in the past. To what extent do you agree or disagree with the topic?
Life has many stages; at every stage, it is important to take important decisions. In the past, it was very easy to make decisions because of the limited availability of options. However, at present, it is quite difficult to decide the perfect thing, as there is a plethora of choices available. This essay aims to discuss how there are more choices in people’s lives. Considering three fields mainly, education, occupation, and food.
Education and occupation are connected to each other. 50 years ago, people just studied in government schools till standard 8th or 10th, after that they joined their family business or their father’s farm. It is not the case nowadays, engineering, medicine, pharmacology, biology, science, arts, management, and sociology are some streams to choose from for a student who wants to study. Additionally, they have the opportunity to select the job or work as per their education. They can select from a variety of work-profiles.
The other area where numerous options are frequently offered in present times is food and beverages. In the past, only traditional food was there to have, but nowadays continental cuisines are getting more popular such as Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Lebanese, Arabic, and Mughalai. The famous dishes in these are pizza, tacos, noodles, and so on. In this way it is obvious that more food choices are offered these days than in the past.
Concluding the above discussion, it is clear that more options to choose from are available in each and every field in present times, which was not the case in the past.
