बंगाल की खाड़ी (Bay Of Bengal) से उठे सितरंग चक्रवात (Cyclone Sitrang) ने असम (Assam) में भारी तबाही मचा दी है। असम के नागांव जिले में भारी बारिश और आंधी के कारण कई घर क्षतिग्रस्त हो गए हैं और पेड़ उखड़ गए हैं। इसी के साथ ही बढ़ते खतरे को देखने हुए मौसम विभाग (IMD) ने अरुणाचल प्रदेश (Arunanchal Pradesh), असम (Assam), मेघालय (Meghalaya), मिजोरम (Mizoram), त्रिपुरा (Tripura), पश्चिम बंगाल (West Bengal) में रेड अलर्ट (Red Alert) जारी कर दिया है। क्योंकि वहां भारी बारिश होने की आशंका जताई जा रही है।
