Mysterious phenomenon found to be mammoth dust shells

A new image from NASA’s James Webb space telescope has revealed an extraordinary cosmic sight at least 17 concentric dust rings emanating from a pair of stars. The phenomenon has been found a little more than 5,000 light-years from earth. The finding had baffled astronomers but research by two Australian scientists has found the rings are a series of mammoth dust shells. Peter Tuthill from the University of Sydney is one of the authors of the research. His team had been observing the twin stars for 16 years and were in poll position to analyse the extraordinary images.
