Hans Zimmer: Band member Eliane Correa on celebrating composer's 40-year career
  • 2 years ago
“Hans [Zimmer] just thrashes the whole concept of how film music should be”.

Eliane Correa is the session pianist of The World Of Hans Zimmer, a large-scale production of the composer’s works for a symphonic orchestra format.

She speaks to NationalWorld about working with the legendary German composer and producer, as a documentary celebrating his 40-years in the business is due to air on BBC Two.

The multi-award-winning musician will be celebrated in a new 60-minute flick titled Hollywood Rebel, which promises to document his career spanning the past four decades from post-war Germany to modern Hollywood.

She said: “It’s because Hans has a very ‘screw it’ attitude of just exploration, playfulness, curiosity, and just not playing by the rules and that's how he ended up being the rebel”.

Hollywood Rebel airs next Sunday, 16 October, on BBC Two.
