Flood preparations underway as heavy rain expected to hit

The Victorian State Emergency Service is bracing for flash flooding and damaging winds over the next few days. Forecasters say it's shaping up as one of the most significant rain events in some time. Multiple flood warnings are already in place with the heaviest falls set to hit on Thursday. Up to 100 millimetres is expected in already sodden areas.
