Pro-Russian groups are raising cryptocurrency to fund paramilitary groups fighting against Ukrainian forces. The groups have been using the encrypted messaging app Telegram to provide a means for people to evade U.S. sanctions and send funds to Russian-affiliated militia groups. The funds are used to supply the militias and support combat training in areas near the Ukrainian border. The groups have raised $400,000 since the start of the invasion on February 24th.
