'We moved thousands of troops…', EAM Jaishankar explains standoff at LAC with China

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Oct 1 hailing leadership of PM Modi said that it took a leader like him to stand to the ground during Chinese aggression. During an interaction with students in Vadodara, Jaishankar said that, “Some leaders have belief, they know how to stand their ground. When the Chinese came to LAC, we were in the middle of Covid. We moved thousands of troops in the middle of lockdown. How tough it was to move people during lockdown, but it took a Prime Minister like that.”
