Wild Rockies - In the Peaks

Stretching over 3,000 miles across the US-Canada border, the Rocky Mountains are home to the animals of the alpine tundra zones. They live at altitudes up to 14,000 feet above sea level, the temperature drops by 3.5 degrees Fahrenheit for every thousand feet of altitude. This means that only the most resilient mountain specialists can handle its wild conditions, such as the fur-protected ibex and the wonderful grizzled marmot.
