After LCS, PAC eyes another delayed ship project

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) today announced that it will investigate the procurement of off-shore patrol vehicles (OPV) by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA).

PAC chairperson Wong Kah Woh said the committee had decided to investigate the matter in order for the public to understand why the delivery of the OPVs was delayed.

“The PAC is of the opinion that the MMEA and Home Ministry need to explain the delays to Parliament, through the PAC.

“This will allow the public to understand the real reasons behind the delays,” said Wong in a statement today.
