On September 23, industry leaders gathered at the Langham Hotel for the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2022.
This is the first time
the event has been
held in person since 2019.
The U.K.-based Skytrax conducted over 14 million
customer surveys between September 2021 to
August 2022 to determine the world's favorite airline.
Topping the list for the seventh
time since the award was introduced
in 1999 is Qatar Airways.
The airline walked away with eight other awards, including Best Business Class, Best Business Class Seat and Best Business Class Lounge Dining.
According to Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airway's group
chief executive, the secret to the airline's success is , "consistent service, consistent product, consistent attention to passengers and absolute dedication from
everyone that works in the airline.".

including Best Cabin Staff, Best First Class,
