The amendments to the Penal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code to list stalking as a crime were recently tabled in Dewan Rakyat for its first reading. More commonly referred to as the Anti-Stalking Bill, the proposed changes stand to make stalking a criminal offence -- with punishments including up to three years imprisonment and fines. What does the bill entail and will it be sufficient in protecting Malaysians against stalking behaviours?
