With the passing away of Queen Elizabeth II, it is pertinent to note that she was, since her accession in 1952, Queen of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and Head of the Commonwealth. Queen Elizabeth II was the longest-reigning monarch in more than 1,200 years of British history.
