Queen Elizabeth II makes history today by becoming Britain’s longest reigning monarch.

Elizabeth, who is 89, is also the nation’s oldest ever monarch, surpassing her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria’s time on the throne: 63 years, 7 months, 2 days, 16 hours and 23 minutes.

To celebrate, the Queen will take a journey on a steam train in Scotland.
