Short for Paleolithic, this diet is meant to mimic that of our hunter-gatherer ancestors, which essentially means cutting out processed foods entirely in favor of fresh foods such as meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, eggs, nuts, seeds, and healthy oils. Like most restrictive diets, however, it has its downsides too.
