In this video, we travelled different places of Kodungallur (Kerala) to explore traditional foods of Kerala here.
First we went to a Pottan's Beef Café or Pottan's Hotel at Edavilangu village which is contiguous to Kodungallur. The shop is famous for their Beef Fry and Parotta (Paratha). They make their beef fry on a wood fire over. It takes a long time to get the preparation ready as it's being cooked in low flame.

Next, we went back to Kodugallur and came to an eatery named Damodara Pappan's Kada. The shop is famous for their Charata (Ceretta) Puttu. Puttu is staple food of Kerala which is made of Rice flower and grated coconut. Charata is nothing but cocnut shell. When ingredients of puttu is steamed inside a coconut shell, it's called Charata Puttu. We savoured the Charata Puttun with Mutta Roast (Egg roast of Egg curry) and Papad.
