ABC reports that the heavy rain that caused
deadly flooding in Dallas, Texas, is now
moving east across the United States.
On August 23, heavy downpours
are expected in Louisiana,
southeast Texas and southern Arkansas.
According to ABC, the heavy rain
is expected to remain in place over Louisiana
and southeast Texas throughout the day.
Flash flood warnings are already in effect
in Shreveport, Louisiana, after the area
received seven inches of rain within 24 hours.
Meanwhile, despite facing one of the worst
droughts on records, San Antonio and Austin,
Texas, are also currently under flood watches.
In the next 48 hours, heavy rain will continue
in eastern Louisiana and will reach Mississippi,
where up to 10 inches of rain is possible.
The heavy rains come after downpours slammed
the Dallas region on August 21 and 22,
dropping over three inches of rain in an hour.
