Cornish cider farm FLOODED after sudden thunderstorms
  • 2 years ago
A cider farm flooded today (16) thanks to thunderstorms after the heatwave. Haywood Cider Farm in St Mabyn near Wadebridge, Cornwall, was hit by flash floods. In a video by owner Tom Bray, 44, muddy water can be seen pouring down the stairs to the cellar at lunchtime. Thankfully, there was no damage to the store, which stocks cider made on the farm's granite cider press and is available to buy at £38 for 10 litres. The Bray family have lived on the farm since 1919 and have been producing “proper Cornish still cider made the traditional way” for almost 20 years.
