A family from America who have been travelling full time since 2019 say they wanted to take control of their own future. Husband and wife duo, Chloe, 28, and Jordan Egbert, 31, are taking control of their destiny and travelling the world with their one-year-old son Lennon. Chloe, a former Executive Assistant for a travelling family and Jordan who worked in sales for an electric vehicle company didn't let the pandemic ruin their dreams as they are currently travelling around Andorra. Chloe and Jordan have been travelling since May 2019 and travelled up until the pandemic paused their journey in March 2020. The couple started travelling after Jordan got a job in an electric vehicle company opening the European market, the pair were supposed to live in Austria for two years but while Jordan was training the company went bankrupt. Chloe said: "We realised we didn't want anyone to take control of our future - we sold everything we owned." During the pandemic, Chloe and Jordan went to live in Hawaii where Chloe fell pregnant and gave birth to their son Lennon Egbert. Chloe originally from Los Vegas said that she still gets goosebumps talking about how the pandemic put a pause on her life. She said: "I can remember everything. With an American passport, we were allowed to go anywhere. "We were in Tuvalu, when we landed we went to border patrol where they told us we couldn't come in because we were American. "They were like 'you have coronavirus' we had to prove we hadn't been in the US for months, they then allowed us in but we were told we had to leave straight away." Chloe and Jordan then headed to the Philippines where they went swimming with whale sharks but disaster struck when the President of the Philippines announced that there will be no domestic travel for 24 hours to try to contain the spread of Covid-19. Chloe said: "We then flew to Manilla and again the President said that all foreigners must leave in 72 hours otherwise we would be stuck there. "All public transport was closed, we were very lucky we were staying in a hotel right next to the airport. "As soon as the President made the announcement we were trying to get down to Micronesia and our flights got cancelled." In a moment of realisation, the couple knew that their travel plans were coming to a stop and they had to head back to the states. After heading back to the states, Chloe fell pregnant in the summer of 2020, moved to Hawaii in October and delivered the baby in February 2021 then resumed travel in August. Chloe said it was difficult to resume travelling again with many countries keeping restrictions in place. She said: "It was hard to go back travelling, we were going to places where masks were still in force and attractions were closed. "The rules were so strict, by November I was miserable, I had a baby that could not sleep unless he was on me. "I could not do anything in the countries we were in as they were so strict - there was nothing to do everything was closed." Chloe then pulled the plug on travelling and moved the family back to Los Vegas. Once they moved back to Los Vegas, Chloe had a health scare in April 2022. She said: "I ended up having 20 kidney stones, I got surgery to get them out and I realised that life is too short and booked the next flight from Los Vegas to London on June 28. Chloe's first visit once they arrived in London was Wimbledon, where Chloe watched American tennis player and friend Asia Muhammad play in the women's single. Chloe said: "It was so nice to be back at the tennis, people were out, excited and happy everything was normal again - that's the moment I realised I can do this again, travel is back and travel is happening." While travelling around the world, James and Chloe are working as content creators, working with brands to provide them with content. Since travelling, Chloe has visited 110 countries and said that New Zealand is her favourite destination. Chloe said: "There is an energy in New Zealand that I have only felt in Japan and Andorra. "New Zealand is so pure and comfortable, as you can imagine my life is the least bit comfortable and New Zealand brings the comfort. "Kiwis are crazy, they are the biggest adrenaline junkies and I love it." After travelling the world since 2019, Chloe and her husband Jordan have picked up some useful tips and tricks along the way. Chloe said one message she likes to get through her social media channels is that 'people are good'. She said: "One thing I always tell people is that the news is solely for information. "Good news doesn't always catch attention, do not define a country by its government and remember that people are good. "We have experienced so much goodness over the world and very little bad." One top tip from Chloe is that when travelling, you should stay loyal to one hotel. She said: "We believe in staying loyal to one hotel, loyalty absolutely pays off, we are very loyal to Marriott Hotels and because we h
