Independence Day: India's First Made-in-India howitzer ATAGS to fire 21-gun salute

For the first time, a home-grown howitzer gun will be used for the ceremonial 21-gun salute during Independence Day. The Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) has been developed under the government's 'Make in India' initiative. It is made by the Defence Research and Development Organisation. The gun’s technical specifications have been tweaked specially for the ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the celebrations.  Watch to know more.
