Rice fields near Zhangye city in northwestern China have been turned into an artist’s canvas. Aerial footage shot on July 25, 2022, reveals the stunning artworks created by farmers in Gansu province who use different-coloured rice plants to form patterns in their paddies. The paddy “paintings” are a traditional art form in China, where the images are often made as a way of praying for blessings.
