"The voting for Vice presidential election has begun in the parliament. The MPs of both the houses are voting today to elect the next vice president of India. The voting began at 10 AM and will go on till 5 PM.
The term of incumbent Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu ends on 10th August. The new vice president will take oath of office on 11th of August.
The NDA has pitched Jagdeep Dhankhar as the vice presidential candidate whereas, Joint opposition has fielded Margaret Alva opposite to him.
