The month of Sawan has started. This month is of devotion and faith. The month of Sawan is associated with Mahadev, the god of gods. Lord Shiva is also called Bholenath and the biggest reason behind this is that Mahadev, being pleased with your small things, fulfills all your wishes.The month of Sawan is very dear to Lord Shiva and therefore great importance has been given to worship of Mahadev, Abhishek and reading and listening to Shiva Katha in Sawan. But along with this, it is also written in Shivpuran to donate some special things in the month of Sawan.

सावन का महीना शुरू हो चुका है। यह महीना होता है भक्ति और आस्था का। सावन के महीने को देवों के देव महादेव से जोड़ कर देखा जाता है। भगवान शिव को भोलेनाथ भी कहा जाता है और इसके पीछे सबसे बड़ी वजह है कि महादेव आपकी छोटी-छोटी बातों से प्रसन्न होकर आपकी सभी मनोकामनाओं को पूर्ण कर देते हैं। सावन का महीना भगवान शिव को अति प्रिय होता है और इसलिए सावन में महादेव की पूजा, अभिषेक और शिव कथा पढ़ने और सुनने को बहुत महत्व दिया गया है। लेकिन इसके साथ-साथ शिवपुराण में सावन के महीने में कुछ खास चीजों को दान करने की भी बात लिखी हुई है।
