The Supreme Court has heard an Adelaide father who tried to kill his young daughter out of 'vindictiveness' towards his wife hopes to one day regain his child's trust. Prosecutors today told the court, Sean Mate's 2020 crime was pre-mediated but defence lawyers said the 45-year-old was sorry and relieved his daughter hadn't suffered permanent damage.
