The flood situation in Assam continues to worsen; normalcy has been completely disrupted in Silchar town. Local people were seen commuting on boats as lanes are inundated in flood water. As per State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) the flood situation in Assam has affected nearly 43 lakh people hitting 33 districts.
