"If we can find solutions to India's problem, we can solve global issues": Dr. Amita Gupta

John Hopkins University has now established John Hopkins India Institute, recently renamed Gupta-Klinsky India Institute (GKII). Dr. Amita Gupta, Co-Chair, GKII and Chief, Division of Infectious Diseases, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, during her conversation with Financial Express.com talked about how Hopkins along with its faculty staff, students, and alumni through their research and partnership with government, academia, the private sector, and NGOs across India can advance human knowledge and develop bold, world-changing ideas. Dr. Gupta also highlighted how the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has given an opportunity in renovating and managing various diseases and improving the existing structure of the healthcare systems not just in India but around the globe.
