A Chinese surveillance ship has been sailing close to a naval communications base in western Australia. The prime minister Scott Morrison has remained calm and assured Australians this is not something to be concerned about. Although he has said it is unusual for a vessel to venture this far south maintaining the party line on being tough on national security.
