Apple has announced that it is discontinuing the iPod Touch, its music player. With this, the company brings to an end the iconic lineup of iPods, a device praised for revolutionising how people listen to music, reported BBC. The first model was launched in 2001, over 20 years ago. Reportedly, the first model could store 1,000 tracks. And today, there are more than 90 million songs on Apple's streaming service, reported BBC. The team that designed the iPod Touch, went onto invent the iPhone.
