On May 9, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa resigned amid nationwide protests. Many people in the crisis hit nation were happy with the development. This move is expected to make way for a new cabinet in the crisis hit country, reported ANI. Now, President Rajapaksa is expected to invite all the political parties in Parliament to form an all-party Cabinet, reported ANI. Massive protests were reported from Sri Lanka on May 9 since the economic crisis hit the country. Mahinda Rajapaksa’s ancestral home in Hambantota, around 250 km from Colombo was also allegedly set on fire by the protesters. Watch the video to know more.
