An investigation is under way after a woman died following a fall at a block of flats in Bristol. Police received a call just before 12.30am on Tuesday from a member of the public to attend Lansdowne Court in Easton. Officers carried out emergency first aid, but sadly she died at the scene.

Families across Bristol are receiving offers of primary school places for September 2022. Out of the 4,844 families applying for a primary school place in Bristol: 92 per cent have been offered their first preference school, up from 89 per cent in 2021.

And, hundreds of residents in Bristol have opened up their homes to refugees fleeing the ongoing war in Ukraine. 295 Bristolians have offered to host Ukrainians in need of safety and shelter, reaffirming Bristol as a City of Sanctuary.
