Ditching My Lolita Style To Become Ariana Grande | TRANSFORMED
  • 2 years ago
DESCRIBING herself as 'a living cupcake', Stazi, from Wichita, Kansas, has spent over a decade dressing as sweet lolita; a Japanese street style that emerged in the 90s and later became popular in the US. Growing up, Stazi explored different alternative styles before falling in love with lolita's colourful design. While reading a manga magazine at the age of 17, Stazi and her younger sister Belle, discovered a lolita fashion brand tailored to American consumers - Stazi has never looked back ever since. "My sister and I fell in love with the design because of the adorable cupcake shape. And just how much it embraces femininity while also being modest at the same time," Stazi said. "Anything rainbow, anything pink, I'm gonna wear it." Today, Stazi is undergoing an extreme transformation inspired by her favourite celebrity, Ariana Grande. Stazi said: "[Ariana] focuses more on minimalism and my style focuses far more on maximalism, so I think it would be fun to try something on the opposite side of the feminine spectrum." How will Stazi react to her new look?
