LEYA, 22 from Idaho, describes her style as dark, punk-gore and menhera - and refers to herself as a ‘bloody monster elf’. She is obsessed with anything medical/body related - blood, eyeballs, hearts and has various accessories that mimic them. The 22-year-old says she felt inspired by elves after playing fantasy games when she was younger to escape reality because ‘reality is so boring’. She said: "It’s a huge part of my identity and if I don’t dress like this I don’t feel like myself." Today, Leya is being transformed into a pastel babe. 00:07Today I'm going to be transforming into a pastel babe.

00:10This will definitely be an eye-opener to different styles.

00:14This definitely looks like something a grandma would wear in the 60s.

00:18I'm going to be revealing my look to my best friend,

00:21and I like to call her my mom. She's like a mom to me,

00:23so it'll be interesting to see their response to this.

00:33For my whole look, it probably takes me like an hour and a half to two hours.

00:47There's a lot of steps. Eyeshadow, and then for my eyeshadow,

00:50I go to my eyebrows with the red,

00:54and then I kind of like incorporate the YXs with eyeliner.

01:10I just kind of started it,

01:11because I kind of wanted to start the night shift life,

01:13see how it was like, and I definitely prefer it,

01:15because I stayed up during the night either way.

01:18When I was young, I would play fantasy games.

01:20That was my escape from reality, because reality was so boring to me.

01:24There was elves in it. You could play as different races,

01:26and then I saw the elf, and I just like felt this weird connection.

01:28And then I was like, why not incorporate that in real life?

01:31Like, who's stopping me? Nobody.

01:33So, I started putting elf ears on.

01:35That's definitely a big part of my identity,

01:37and like if I'm not all dressed up like this,

01:40I don't feel myself.

01:41I got my normal Band-Aid.

01:42To kind of give it more of like, you know,

01:44a natural Band-Aid look,

01:45and sometimes feel a little extra.

01:47Put on like an eyeball one.

01:48Depending on the look, definitely favorite this one.

01:50I like the teeth.

01:51I like things that aren't human looking,

01:53or very monstrous,

01:55so like teeth, you know, crazy stuff like that.

01:58I've always wanted to have like a human heart prop in my looks,

02:00so I found this.

02:02I use it for a lot of my looks and stuff like that.

02:04Just kind of chilling out in my room.

02:06I dyed my hair like this color intentionally,

02:09to look like blood.

02:10I've had a few people actually say it looks like blood,

02:13which made me very happy.

02:14People think I'm a psychopath or a murderer sometimes.

02:17People are gonna judge you,

02:18so why not just give them something to judge?

02:27because I've been so comfortable with what I've been doing,

04:03I would say probably along the Barbie of makeup looks.

04:09One of the biggest makeup challenges that I expect is eyebrows.

04:15I feel like the eyebrows really gives it that unhuman look.

04:18Without it, it just brings everything together,

04:20then also gives me more room to be more creative on my face, I guess.

04:23I'm definitely on a more nervous scale, especially because of the dress,

04:32because I don't see myself in dresses and the long hair especially.

05:31It's been nice being able to see her express herself over time and become more of who I
