On March 28, unruly scenes were witnessed in the West Bengal Assembly. Legislators of the ruling Trinamool Congress party and the Opposition BJP clashed. The BJP demanded that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee speak in the House about the state's law and order situation, reported NDTV. This comes after the Birbhum tragedy where eight members of a family were assaulted and then burnt to death. Videos shared on social media show the scuffle on the floor of the House. Suvendu Adhikari and four other BJP legislators have been suspended for the whole of this year following the ruckus, reported NDTV. Watch the video to know more.
