Taliban government has once again closed girls’ secondary schools in grades 7-12 on Wednesday, the first day of Afghanistan’s new academic year. Earlier Ministry of Education had announced reopening of all schools, from grades 1 to 12, for both male and female students. Hamid Karzai, former president and Abdullah Abdullah, former head of reconciliation council have criticised the decision and supported women students right to access the education.


तालिबान सरकार ने अफगानिस्तान के नए शैक्षणिक वर्ष के पहले दिन बुधवार को एक बार फिर कक्षा 7-12 तक के बालिका माध्यमिक विद्यालयों को बंद कर दिया है। इससे पहले शिक्षा मंत्रालय ने कक्षा 1 से 12 तक के सभी स्कूलों को पुरुष और महिला छात्रों दोनों के लिए फिर से खोलने की घोषणा की थी। हामिद करजई, पूर्व राष्ट्रपति और सुलह परिषद के पूर्व प्रमुख अब्दुल्ला अब्दुल्ला ने निर्णय की आलोचना की है और महिला छात्रों को शिक्षा तक पहुंचने के अधिकार का समर्थन किया है।
