jaur-o-be-mehri-e-ighmaz pe kya rota hai
mehrban bhi koi ho jaega jaldi kya hai

kho diya tum ko to hum puchhte phirte hain yahi
jis ki taqdir bigaD jae wo karta kya hai

na yagane hain na begane teri mahfil mein
na koi ghair yahan hai na koi apna hai

aisi baaton se badalti hai kahin fitrat-e-husn
jaan bhi de de agar koi to kya hota hai

جور و بے مہری اغماض پہ کیا روتا ہے
مہرباں بھی کوئی ہو جائے گا جلدی کیا ہے

کھو دیا تم کو تو ہم پوچھتے پھرتے ہیں یہی
جس کی تقدیر بگڑ جائے وہ کرتا کیا ہے

نہ یگانے ہیں نہ بیگانے تری محفل میں
نہ کوئی غیر یہاں ہے نہ کوئی اپنا ہے

ایسی باتوں سے بدلتی ہے کہیں فطرت حسن
