Hong Kong’s community isolation facilities, how do they work?
Hong Kong has opened 26 community isolation facilities to house Covid-19 patients, as the city battles its fifth wave of the coronavirus. The accommodations are for patients who test positive for the coronavirus with mild or no symptoms, or whose living conditions are not suitable for home quarantine. Basic amenities are provided in addition to three daily meals, which include vegetarian, vegan and halal options to meet special dietary requirements.
