Why Hong Kong cabbies have signed up to transport Covid-19 patients for treatment

A taxi service to transport Covid-19 patients with mild symptoms to seven designated treatment clinics in Hong Kong began operating on February 18, 2022. About 300 taxis have been mobilised to ferry patients, despite the risk of exposure to drivers. It's hoped the treatment clinics will ease the strain on the city's hospitals, which are buckling under a fifth wave of Covid-19 infections.
