Ice harvesting happens every winter on the rivers in northern China. The biggest ice park in Changchun, Jilin, needs 750,000 huge ice blocks every year, and each block is even bigger than a kid-size bed.
To meet the huge demand from ice parks, thousands of farmers or construction workers will gather here in winters, when the temperature falls below -20°C (-4°F), and collect ice on frozen rivers for one or two months.
