Massive Backup of Trucks at Border Crossing in Port Huron, Michigan
  • 2 years ago
A backup of trucks roughly 10 miles in length formed after the shutdown of the Ambassador Bridge this week, with commercial traffic redirected to the Blue Water Bridge between Port Huron, Michigan and Sarnia, Ontario.

Over an hour north of the Detroit-Windsor border, this crossing quickly backed up with the blockage of traffic entering Canada via the Ambassador Bridge, occurring as part of the Canadian trucker 'Freedom Convoy' protests ongoing in Ontario and other provinces. The closure of the busiest land crossing with the U.S. has lead to hours-long delays of traffic in Port Huron, as well as business disruptions on both sides of the border.
