The Madhya Pradesh government has changed the name of one tehsil and one village, including Hoshangabad. Hoshangabad has now been renamed as Narmadapuram. At the same time, the name of Kundeshwar Dham in Shivpuri village of Tikamgarh district and Babai, the birthplace of poet Makhanlal Chaturvedi, has been changed to Makhan Nagar. The Central Government has approved the proposal to change the name of Shivraj Sarkar.

मध्य प्रदेश सरकार (Madhya Pradesh) ने होशंगाबाद (Hoshangabad) समेत एक तहसील और एक गांव का नाम बदल लिया है. होशंगाबाद का नाम अब नर्मदापुरम कर दिया गया है. वहीं, टीकमगढ़ जिले का शिवपुरी गांव का कुंडेश्वर धाम और कवि माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी की जन्मस्थली बाबई का नाम बदलकर माखन नगर रख दिया गया है. केंद्र सरकार ने शिवराज सरकार (CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan) के नाम बदलने के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दे दी है.
