Indian Army jawans amidst the chilling cold
30 people trapped in an avalanche near Tangdhar Pass in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district have been rescued. These people were buried in the snow due to an avalanche that occurred on the Chowkibal-Tangdhar road (NH-701) on the night of 17/18 January. After which the Indian Army and General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) started a rescue operation here and rescued 30 civilians.
हाड़ कंपा देने वाली ठंड के बीच भारतीय सेना के जवानों ने
जम्मू-कश्मीर के कुपवाड़ा जिले में तंगधार दर्रे के पास हिमस्खलन में फंसे 30 लोगों को निकाल लिया है। 17/18 जनवरी की रात चौकीबल-तंगधार रोड (एनएच-701) पर हुए हिमस्खलन के चलते ये लोग बर्फ में दब गए थे। जिसके बाद भारतीय सेना और जनरल रिजर्व इंजीनियर फोर्स (जीआरईएफ) ने यहां रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन शुरू किया और 30 नागरिकों को बचाया।
