Return of Hong Kong’s social distancing restrictions deals heavy blow to restaurants
  • 2 years ago
All restaurants in Hong Kong must suspend dine-in services after 6pm from January 7, 2022, as part of a renewed round of social-distancing measures introduced to contain the spread of the Omicron variant of Covid-19. The catering industry estimates restricting restaurants to serving takeaway only and closing bars and pubs altogether, even for two weeks, will result in losses totalling over US$1 billion.
