On January 3, more than one million people in the United States were diagnosed with Covid-19 driven by the Omicron variant in 24 hours. With this, the US has made a record of reporting the highest number of cases that any country has ever reported since the pandemic began more than two years ago. This number is almost double the previous record of about 590,000 set just four days ago in the United States.
