Santa Claus delivers food parcels in Rio favela

"I see that the children feel represented by seeing a Black Santa Claus," says Leonardo Pereira da Silva, after arriving by helicopter to deliver food parcels to residents of Rio de Janeiro's Penha favela. The Central Unica das Favelas (CUFA) NGO say they have distributed -- in partnership with the National Anti-racist Front (FNA) -- 300,000 food parcels in more than 200 favelas of the Brazilian city.
